Why DERMAPEN is an effective weapon in the fight against skin imperfections?
The skin is an excellent barrier that protects against the harmful substances and pathogens accessing the body. For this reason, the penetration of any compounds into the skin is insignificant. What if we want to successfully provide desirable ingredients to skin’s interior? How can we put active cosmetics and ampoules into the skin so that they can work effectively? The answer to these questions is provided by microneedle mesotherapy performed by using dermapen.
What is dermapen?
Dermapen is a device resembling the shape of a pen. It is equipped with a special microneedle top, allowing very precise operation. The top contains 12 surgical steel needles covered with titanium coating that automatically puncture the skin at a rate of up to 21,000 per minute.
The needle length is adjustable from 0.25 to 2.5 mm. The invasiveness of the procedure is minimal, it can be performed on any area of the body, and thanks to disposable, sterile top it is very safe. In addition, 5 levels of work speed give us the ability to control the intensity of the procedure.
How microneedling works in our performance: a double benefit.
This treatment involves fractionating the skin. Through micro-penetration, the skin gets information that it must immediately start repairing and regenerating processes. It initiates the mechanism of producing the new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid – that is, the three most important components responsible for youth & smooth functioning of the skin. We practically non-invasively drive the skin to action and natural renewal.
During the puncturing, micro-channels are formed in the skin, through which the active ingredients of the cosmetics applied during the procedure can penetrate much deeper and more effectively than with the manual application. This mechanism ensures intensive and excellent therapeutic effects!
What number of treatments is best?
The best effects are achieved by a series of 3 to 6 treatments performed at intervals of 2-4 weeks. The number of treatments is closely related to the type of problem we need to overcome. After the series of treatments you can do maintenance treatments every 2-3 months or perform a series of treatments once every half or once a year.
When will the effect be visible and how long will it last?
After the skin has fully healed, you can see the first effects in the form of smoothing, firmness and improving the coloration of the skin. Depending on the skin problem, the final effects can be expected after a series of treatments, although in many people a significant improvement in skin condition occurs after the first session. The skin renewal cycle lasts 28 days – after that time you will notice an actual improvement. Collagen fibers eventually shape from 3 to 6 months, so repair induced in the skin lasts a very long time. One series of treatments slows down skin aging by 1 year or up to 2 years!
Is the procedure painful?
The pain sensation is very individual, it depends on the pain threshold of each person and the depth of punctures. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia with the lidocaine ointment.
How to prepare for the procedure?
On the day before and on the day of the treatment any alcohol should be avoided. Do not take any substances that may thin the blood (eg acetylsalicylic acid – Aspirin, Polopiryne) 3 days before the procedure.
